F/UTP CCA Patch Cable, Cat.5e (100MHz) in snagless design with gold-plated contacts. Suitable for Ethernet up to Gigabit Ethernet (1GBase-T).

Cat.5e cable designed for operating frequencies up to 100MHz. The unshielded version (U/UTP) is engineered in its electrophysical parameters (NEXT, FEXT, etc.) to be usable for Gigabit Ethernet despite the lack of shielding. The cables are individually packaged in a polybag.

The gold-plated contacts ensure reliable, corrosion-free connections over extended periods. The snagless clip protection prevents the breaking or tearing of the locking clip on the connector, allowing the cables to be stored and handled without getting tangled in the clips.

The high frequencies used in networking cause high current loads in the outer layers of the conductors due to the skin effect, while the conductor cores are only lightly loaded electrically. This allows for the use of conductor material made from copper-clad aluminum (CCA), making this cable significantly more cost-effective compared to pure copper cables.
