The E-DAT module Cat.6A 8(8) from Metz Connect is a modular connection unit designed for use in modern network infrastructures. It meets the requirements of Class E and A according to ISO/IEC 11801 as well as DIN EN 50173-1 and is GHMT certified. This module supports data transmissions of up to 500 MHz and is suitable for 10 GBit Ethernet as well as various Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) standards. The installation is user-friendly, as the 2- to 4-pair data cables can be easily connected to the BTR 8-way IDC cutting terminals. The wiring can be done according to both T568A and T568B standards, allowing for flexible installation. The module housing is made of refined zinc die-cast, ensuring high stability. Additionally, a strain relief with cable ties is provided to ensure the longevity of the connection. Installation does not require special tools, further simplifying handling.
