The Netgear 10-Gigabit Smart Managed Switches have been intentionally designed as a cost-effective solution to provide 10GbE connectivity to 10GbE-capable servers and NAS systems. They can serve as the center of a smaller network or as a 10G aggregation/access switch in larger organizations, as well as for workgroup access. Therefore, they are excellent for enabling 10GbE connectivity all the way to the network edge, while a 10GbE fully managed switch can be connected at the other end.
