Digitec doesn't seem to have their yield system under control. Moreover, no one is monitoring it.
I wrote directly to Nvidia, they told me that they would find a solution to activate without the card.
My order is currently expected to be placed tomorrow, so I'm curious to see whether this is how it will be.
I was just wondering what was going on there... 😂
When did you order the map?
One of them is overclocked
That might not be the smartest tactic. Especially if you can afford the storage space, you should wait until the release of the next generation and see if there are supply bottlenecks again. If so, these cards will still sell for the high price and if not, the price will be lowered and there will always be customers who prefer to pay less, even if it is the last generation. So it would be a win-win situation.
I got my Strix last Friday. I ordered it on 15 December, so it should be ready for you soon too.
The graphics card will probably be available for order again when the open orders have been processed. It is not yet clear how long this will take. There is also an article from Digitec in the magazine.
Many thanks for the information! At least you know that something will be delivered at all. It will probably take a little longer for me.
Hello, I agree with you, it is shocking to charge so much for a graphics card that normally costs around 1600 francs, I myself am also eagerly waiting for it to be available at a reasonable price. But in my opinion, Digitec-Galaxus can't help it, it's just difficult at the moment because two large chip manufacturers are working at full capacity, one is flatlining after a factory fire and the fourth in the group can't produce due to strikes. I also think it's good that alternative offers are displayed, because at the end of the day, everyone can decide whether they want to buy and whether this price is too high for them, there is no obligation to buy :)
If you buy the card when it is in stock, you will probably wait until May 2021.
Hello. Yes, it happened to me a few times with the last orders. According to Digitec it says ordered by 5pm, delivered the next day: https://www.digitec.ch/de/Wiki/556 this would then mean that everything would have to go out priority. However, in the last few months, about half of my parcels have been delivered as Economy, which means a delivery time of between 4 and 5 days, depending on the motivation of the post office. On top of that, an Economy parcel is not subject to Saturday delivery, which means that the parcel sits around at the post office until Monday. I recently ordered 2 second-hand devices and was also assured that they would be delivered by the next day. But one of them was in Ticino, the other one in Geneva and both were delivered to the post office one day later and then both Economy. It took a week instead of 12 hours...
Yes, that was me, got an email from Digitec yesterday that they don't know anything from the supplier yet and therefore they can't tell us anything yet either....
It depends on your whole system AND if you are going to overclock gpu / cpu. Basically, it's totally okay, if yo have a high end (gold / platinum / titanium) psu for your system. BUT if you are planning on overclocking everything, things can go straight up. maybe they will add a higher power limit for the card in a future update and it's getting more tricky...
