It was the same for me. I tried everything possible to turn the microphone up. In the end, you could hear every little thing... That's why I sent it back. But not everyone seems to be like that.
Yes, I use it in many shooters (CS:GO, Valorant, etc.) It has served me well so far.

I bought the same headset for PC gaming, where it is recognised without further ado and works well.
When I tried to connect it to the PS4 at college, I had the same problems as you described.
It seems that the PS4 doesn't recognise the headset's sound card when you connect it directly to the PS via USB.
My solution was to connect the headphones directly to the controller (3.5mm jack). The microphone and headphones were then recognised. So connect the headset to the controller and search through the PS4 options...

Apparently, it is not possible to use mute if you do not connect the headset with USB. The only way would be to unplug the microphone directly
Yes it works, because the Virtual 7.1. is generated directly by the headphones themselves.
Hi, I can't help you with the Xbox, but it works fine on a Playstation 4. The systems shouldn't be "sooo" different.

Unfortunately not with us, please excuse me. You can still try the manufacturer directly or send in the headset (if purchased from us) as a warranty claim.
The PS4 is not a computer. This only works via the PS4's own software. There is no other way.

Yes, this headset has a button to mute the microphone, it also has buttons to turn the volume up - down.
If you connect the supplied USB sound card to the PS4, you can control the volume & mic volume. Of course you can also mute the mic there.

Kann natürlich auch sein, dass das Mikrofon einfach defekt ist. In dem Fall austauschen lassen. :)

It should, but maybe the microphone won't work. Couldn't test it, but since it has a standard jack for audio, it should work.

No not really, a little bit because it's not totally isolated. But as soon as there's sound in your headphones you can't hear anything around.
