Presumably different suppliers are behind this. I bought several MX Anywhere 2S mice because this mouse covers my preferences perfectly, and I always chose the cheaper version. Apart from the different packaging, I didn't notice any differences.

The mouse generally works with Mac OS, however, the MX Anywhere 2S may experience connection problems via Bluetooth on newer Mac models with Apple Silicon (e.g. M1). A workaround is to use the Logitech Unifying Receiver, which is included in the scope of delivery, to connect the mouse via USB and connect it to the Logi Options software. The MX Anywhere 2S supports Bluetooth and USB connection, is designed for right-handed users and has a manually adjustable DPI up to 4000. For an optimal Mac experience, however, we recommend the newer MX Anywhere 3S for Mac, which is specially optimised for macOS and offers a stable Bluetooth connection with macOS 11 or higher.

The Logitech MX Anywhere 2S can be connected via Bluetooth as well as with the Logitech Unifying receiver. You do not need an adapter for a Bluetooth connection, as the mouse can communicate directly with Bluetooth-enabled devices such as notebooks. However, if you want to use the Unifying receiver, you need a USB connection for the receiver, but no adapter for the Bluetooth connection. ### Connection options: - Bluetooth: Direct connection possible without adapter. - Logitech Unifying receiver: Requires a USB connection for the receiver. The mouse therefore offers flexibility in the connection, depending on which method you prefer.
