I can't answer question one. Question two yes with cobtrollers.
From what I know Assetto Corsa is not available on Quest
No, why should you? You download the games directly from the app store of the Meta via WLAN to the glasses and they are installed there in the memory of the glasses.
Are you using Air-Link or the USB cable? I've had the latter for a week and it works much better than without the cable. However, I sometimes have connection problems... What you can try is to open the Oculus OculusDebugTool ("C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics") and then turn on the console. Here you can also activate the Performance HUD, then you will see details about performance and connection.
According to research https://www.androidcentral.com/best-link-cable-alternative-oculus-quest-2 this should not be sufficient.
I ordered an extra long one off wish, it takes a while too get here but it's just as good for half the price.
You kind of answer the question yourself. Air Link and cable connection are exactly there to access SteamVR or the Oculus desktop app.
Yes, you can connect to Steam and play all Steam VR games with it. Just connect it to your PC via cable or WiFi, then it's a "classic" VR goggle like Rift etc. and works with Steam VR.
https://www.oculus.com/quest-2/removable-facial-interface-alert/ In my case (purchase date November 2011), the silicone pad was already included in the package.
Unfortunately, I don't know. The glasses have their own memory onto which the games etc. are loaded. Therefore, no other equipment is needed. All games are downloaded and purchased online via the glasses. YouTube etc. can also be accessed directly via the glasses.
Beat Saber free of charge If you click on "With free additional product" you will see the conditions.
I'll be honest and say that the 90 euros for the link cable is worth it. If you also have a good gaming pc
If you mean pc link no
Hey FamousLoon, Since the VR glasses are from Facebook, a Facebook account is currently still necessary, but according to some sources this will probably change this year.
In my opinion it's not the headset that's the problem but rather you don't know how to use it or you haven't had any other experience with other vr headsets. It's not a 4k monitor it's 2 tiny screens, no wonder it's not a computer monitor. I'm not sure if it's the same as a computer monitor or not, but it's not.
Perhaps a guest profile could be created and the apps could then be adapted?
Digitec will not reveal that.
Yes, that's no problem. You can either do this via the Virtual Desktop in the Oculus Store or via a USB-C cable.
So you just get the headset and controller (with batteries) and charging device. so in fact you already have everything you need.
The Oculus Quest 2 is a stand-alone device and works without the need for any other hardware. It cannot be used for Playstation VR and cannot be connected to the PS4/PS5. However, you can connect it to a PC and use SteamVR with it.
You can see as far with the VR glasses as you can see in real life without them. A spacer is included so that you can wear your glasses as usual while wearing the VR glasses. The maximum dimensions of the glasses can be found on the Internet. Otherwise, if it's too blurry, you can also buy lens inserts from an optician for 70€, which you can adjust to your eyes yourself. MFG
Yes, you can. A USB-A to USB-C cable is required. But it can now also be done via WLAN. All you need is bandwidth.
Too bad it's not 1 franc more expensive :) I think it just hasn't been updated properly yet.
