I am using for PC, but this actually depends on the setting of your desk.
Your desk should be low unlike dining table, then it is OK.
In my setting, the top end of monitor is only slightly higher than my eye level on chair.

Due to time constraints, I will not be unpacking and installing the monitor until this summer holiday, so unfortunately I cannot answer your question yet. However, I will place my monitor on my desk and not mount it on a wall.

I did't receive any notice for cash back. Is there reason to return it (up to now the monitor/tv works fine)?
Probably so, since VGA can't deliver the performance that HDMI can. Even with an adapter, the output power remains too low.
