To manage several U7 Pro-Wall access points, it is not absolutely necessary but highly recommended to use a controller. Here are some options: - UniFi Controller: The UniFi Controller, which is part of the UniFi OS, allows for centralised management and configuration of access points. This can be installed on a dedicated device such as the UniFi Dream Machine Pro or on another device with the UniFi software. - Dream Machine Pro: The Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro is an example of a device that can act as a controller. It offers comprehensive management and configuration of access points as well as other network functions. Without a controller, the functions of the access points are limited and management becomes more complicated. With a controller, however, you can more easily configure, monitor and manage multiple APs, which is particularly useful when there are 4-5 APs in the house.

I've just got a U7 Pro-Wall, it definitely has a fan and it's audible at full load. Just had a case where the fan kept starting up for 10 seconds at a time and then switching off again, pretty annoying. Latest firmware 7.0.66 has already been installed. I'm considering returning the U7 Pro-Wall if I can't get the fan to shut down permanently, even at full load.
