LC connector. The Lampert Connector (LC) is the most widely used connector type in the fiber optic field. It is primarily used for its compact design, as it resembles the RJ15 components used in copper technology. The LC connector has a ferrule diameter of 1.25 mm and features an insertion loss of only 0.1 dB and a return loss of 55 dB.

Reliable data transmission - Multimode OM3. For fiber optics to be used for Gigabit Ethernet, 10-Gigabit Ethernet, and 100-Gigabit Ethernet, the quality of the fibers is classified similarly to the class specifications of copper cables. An OM3 cable has a laser-optimized 50µ fiber with an effective modal bandwidth of 2000 MHz/km. The data transmission is designed for 10 GBit/s.
