The Modicon ABL8 Universal series of switched power supplies is ideally suited for most industrial applications and is specifically designed for DC power supply in automation applications. The ABL8 product family stands out due to its compact and robust design and includes power supplies with an output voltage of 24V DC. This functional module for the Modicon ABL8 power supplies serves to temporarily buffer a 24V DC supply. This allows for compensation of micro-interruptions in the power supply networks, preventing disruptions in automation applications. Depending on the power requirements, a buffer time of up to 2 seconds at 2 A can be achieved, or 0.2 seconds at 20 A. The maximum current is 40A. The status of the buffer module is indicated by an LED display, and a diagnostic relay provides the status output. Due to the variety of existing product standards and certifications, it is suitable for international use.
