The XPE metal foot switch is a foot switch with a metal housing, available with or without a protective cover. The versions with a protective cover are particularly recommended for areas with high risks, where unintentional machine activation can occur due to human interaction or falling objects. Foot switches with 2-stage contacts are ideal for machines with two speeds. The first stage (6 mm actuation travel) activates a set of normally open and normally closed contacts, before the second stage, after the full actuation travel (12 mm), activates the other normally open and normally closed contacts. The versions with a trigger mechanism allow for locking the pedal in the rest position and can only be pressed down again after a direct action. Available with or without a triggering mechanism in 1- or 2-stage versions. The large pedal surface ensures good foot stability and high operating comfort. The tall and wide protective cover accommodates large safety shoes. The foot switch can be mounted directly on the floor or on a pedestal for increased stability. Blue IP66 metal housing.
