The SCALANCE XB206-2 is a managed Layer 2 IE switch featuring 6x 10/100 Mbit/s RJ45 ports, 2x multimode SC ports, and 1x console port with diagnostic LED. It includes a redundant power supply, is IEC 62443-4-2 certified, operates in a temperature range of 0°C to +60°C, and is suitable for DIN rail mounting with default PROFINET settings.

This device supports both industrial protocols (PROFINET and EtherNet/IP) for real-time communication, ensuring high network availability through redundant ring structures based on High Speed Redundancy (HRP) and PROFINET-compliant ring redundancy (MRP) with an integrated redundancy manager. It also allows for load limitation when using multicast-based protocols and limits multicast and broadcast per port.

Virtual networks can be created through the VLAN function. An integrated web server and signaling contact facilitate quick and easy diagnostics on the device and integration into existing network management systems via standardized SNMP access.

The switch operates on DC 24 V, includes 5x 10/100 Mbit/s RJ45 ports, 3x multimode SC ports, and a console port with default settings for PROFINET.
