The Jetstream 8-Port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch T1500G-8T offers eight 10/100/1000 Mbps ports, enterprise-level QoS, advanced security strategies, and Layer 2 management capabilities. Port 8 supports power supply via PoE-PD to 802.3at/af; however, the switch can also be powered via an external voltage adapter, providing flexibility in device placement. The firmware is identical to the original TP-Link device, but a configuration file is pre-installed for Swisscom, with QoS, hostname, NTP server, DST, and regional settings already configured. Additionally, IGMP snooping is enabled, and SSH and Telnet are disabled. WebUI access via HTTPS is locked, and the switch obtains its IP address via DHCP. It also features a Swisscom adhesive on the packaging.

The T1500G-8T applies QoS policies to integrate voice, data, and video services on a network. The network administrator can use 802.1P priority to prioritize data transfer as needed, ensuring that voice or video applications run smoothly. The T1500G-8T supports a full range of Layer 2 features, including 802.1Q tag VLAN, port mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, link aggregation control protocol, and 802.3x flow control. It provides advanced network maintenance features such as loop-back detection, cable testing, and IGMP snooping. IGMP snooping ensures that the switch intelligently routes multicast streams only to the appropriate subscribers, while IGMP throttling and filtering restrict each subscriber to a port level to prevent unauthorized access to multicast data. The T1500G-8T is easy to use and manage, supporting several standard management features such as an intuitive web-based graphical user interface (GUI), SNMP (v1/2/3), and RMON, allowing the switch to retrieve valuable status information and report threats directly.
