Ubiquiti's goal is to provide state-of-the-art and easy-to-implement communication solutions for a global customer base. The company was founded in 2005 and initially produced WLAN adapters for PCs. The range was later expanded to include devices such as WLAN routers, especially for outdoor use. The company now also manufactures switches and surveillance cameras. Ubiquiti products are generally characterised by their superior performance, clever mechanical design and ease of use. The IEEE 802.3bt standard is also known as Four-Pair-Power-over-Ethernet (4PPoE) or PoE++. By using all available wires for power transmission, PoE++ increases the power to 70 to 100 watts. The idea behind this is to supply the entire workstation with power via the data cable. In this way, you could operate economical computers with screens including telephones via a single LAN cable.
