Wirewin® Category 6A patch cables comply with the values according to ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2, enabling data transmission of up to 10 GBit/s. Category 6A is specified with a frequency of 500 MHz. The cable for these patch cables is double-shielded. Each pair is enclosed in its own foil shielding, which is further covered by a braided shield. This construction is often referred to as PIMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) or S/FTP. The jacket of these cables is made from halogen-free material, making it flame-resistant. Yellow Category 6A RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts are encased in a special Wirewin® strain relief sleeve to protect the plug while allowing for easy insertion.
