Can I set up the router with the same name and password from Swisscom so that I can use the Swisscom router and the Xiaomi router without interruption? My problem is that I have poor wifi reception in the back room and a repeater doesn't help either.
Yes, it does. I have also configured it that way.
However, another warning: Recently (new firmware update), the guest network can presumably only be adjusted via the Mi-Wifi app - but this app does not seem to run in Switzerland (any more). This means that the guest network can no longer be used. It used to be configurable in the web GUI.

Can this router share internet connection to LAN ports in Wireless Repeater or in Wireless Bridge mode?

I set up the Xiaomi as an access point with a shielded cable from the standard Swisscom router. Absolutely no problems and very effective. The thing extends the range as desired and accesses the data directly from the standard router. From Xiaomi completely free for wireless access or cable. I also use it for my home office. Highly recommended, the Chinese have really come up with something good.
