Question about APC BX500MI

Can the device be integrated into a management tool (possibly also via a Synology NAS)? I would like to operate 10 units at different locations and be informed if the device detects a power failure or the batteries start to cause problems.

A Synology NAS natively supports and recognises this UPS via USB. Furthermore, this connection can be shared via a UPS server function and thus inform other devices about the battery status or even be used for monitoring. In addition to the Synology NAS, I have a bare-metal Ubuntu server running that is informed about the UPS status via NUT (Network UPS Tools) and automatically shuts down cleanly when the battery is low. You can find more information on this via your favourite search engine.

I have connected my BX500MI via a Synology NAS. However, I can't tell you how to monitor a whole group of UPSs. Schneider Electric has a link for such software: https://www.se.com/ww...

We monitor the OID of the All-Over-State of the Synology NAS, including the status of the UPS
