Has anyone hung the repeater on the wall? I'm interested in whether I need a LAN cable with an angle or whether a normal one will do? What is the distance between the socket and the wall?

I don't have it on the wall. But:
As far as I can tell, hanging it directly on the wall is hardly possible. However, the base can be clipped into the back so that the part can then be hung on a screw on the wall. Without the base, the distance between the wall and the rear of the repeater (i.e. the socket) is approx. 6 mm (definitely too little, even for an angled plug; even the power supply unit could not be connected in this way). With the base as a "hanger", the distance is then about 17mm. A little difficult to explain, but I hope it's reasonably clear

Hello
I have placed the repeater on the wall with the base, unfortunately I can't upload a photo. My guess to your question is that probably a normal cable will be short. I used an unshielded cable (look for U/UTP or similar) because the plug is much shorter. It works with these.
