Shure Sm7b
Hi all, I would like to get this microphone but need a suitable interface/mixing console, so I have a question: does it matter about the impedance and ohms if I connect it to the Rode Rodecaster pro? shouldn't be a problem, should it? if not, is there anything important to consider?
The preamplifier of the Shure is important. It should have at least 60db gain. Then any interface will work.
Unfortunately, I have no experience with the Rodecaster. If you already have it and you like the sound of the Sm7, give it a try.
Otherwise, I recommend an interface or mixer/interface that offers high amounts of clean gain without noise.
I use the Tascam model 12 mixer.
