i have a pc with an 850 w power supply and our power system often blows the fuse in the office - yesterday a philipps living colour lamp died on me - i am now afraid that it could possibly affect the pc - would this product protect my pc from damage in the event of a power failure or are the watts not enough?

It would bridge the power failure (I can't tell you how long, as your PC doesn't always consume a full 850W) as well as power surges (overvoltage) up to a certain level.
You can find more (and above all clear) details directly at APC-Schneider: https://www.apc.com/ch...
How many amps does the fuse that blows out more often have? 6 or 10? LG

Yes. Protects up to a maximum of 1200 W (all consumers), as I understand it as a layman. But I think before the computer is broken, it will first affect the hard drive or other electronic parts. Maybe that's what you mean. If the printer monitor(s) are also connected, it could be close. The monitor may not work. That's why I recommend separate multiple plugs with overvoltage protection. The information on this is somewhat difficult to find on the net. This may be because, unfortunately, everything is produced in China and everyone involved is an electrical expert. But it is difficult to find a simple answer as to what should/cannot be connected and how.

I would rather try to find the cause for the triggering of the fuse than just fight the symptom of a PC.
