I haven't quite understood the idea of the device yet, do you connect this device to your existing network and then have 5G internet, i.e. in the house the devices connect via the existing access point as before or is this a pure 5G access point and all devices connect to this 5G access point? Since I don't have such a good 5G signal in the house, my idea is to install this device (outdoors) outside and would then also have 5G internet (i.e. backup internet) in addition to my cable internet (in the house), or is that not possible?

I don't have a traditional internet connection (ADSL, Fibre), I use this device as the only internet portal. It connects to the network switch (just like ADSL router) and everything in the house works as expected (cable connection or WiFi HotSpot access in the house).
I live in the countryside, with moderate 5G signal, but get reliable 100Mb/s download, 30mB/s upload with 30ms ping - more than enough for me.
The only drawback is that fixed IP addresses are not offered by mobile phone providers - which can only be a challenge with remote access - but with VPN there are also solutions, even if they are not elegant.
I have no experience as a backup to existing Internet access - I don't know whether the switch has to play a role here.
