Question about Ubiquiti Lite 8 PoE
Is this the successor (generation 2) of the US-8-60W? I have not bought the US-8-60W in the past because it gets too hot. Does the USW-Lite-8-PoE get less hot?

I cannot tell you for sure if this switch is the successor to the US-8-60W, but I believe that it is not, because unlike the US-8-60W, this switch only serves four of the eight ports with POE. However, I can tell you with certainty that the operating temperature of this unit is well within acceptable limits.
Unlike the Ubiquiti Unifi Security Gateway, the switch does not get very hot. You can hold it in your hand during operation without burning your hand.
