Question about Synology Ds418

Last week I ordered the Synology DS418 with a warranty extension to 5 years (CHF 40.-) from digitec. When setting it up, you can order another warranty extension to 5 years from Synology. Is this not already included in the digitec warranty? If so, what do I have to do to register the device with Synology in order to benefit from the extension?

What I understood - with other products - Digitec offers the warranty itself, not through Synology, but with its partners. Therefore, you can also buy the Synology warranty, which is independent from this one. But it's not worth it, because - if you have problems - you will only be able to take advantage of one warranty. Digitec warranty is good and sufficient in my experience.
