Question about APC BX500MI
The reviews on Amazon state that the appliance emits an extremely unpleasant odour or stinks. Can anyone confirm or refute this? If this is true, how long does it take until the appliance no longer smells? Also, can someone who has recently bought the device confirm whether the necessary plugs and cables are still supplied to connect a Synology DS920+? Many thanks!

Yes I agree with the unpleasant odours. Most of the odours disappear within a few days / weeks, but a little bit still remains after a longer period (years). But I have 2, and one of them is worse than the other.
As for the cables, I think there should be 1 cable included that you can use.

No odour emissions today. There may have been an odour at the beginning, but if so, it's long gone.
A USB cable should be included. I used this to connect it to a DS1817+. If not, then a standard USB device connection cable can be used with a USB type B 1.0/2.0 plug at the other end. These are "stock items" for me.
