Question about Ubiquiti USW-16-POE Gen 2
The switch is cloud-managed. What does that mean exactly? Do you need a special cloud for it? Is the Ubiquit Control app no longer enough to manage it?
You can manage the switch via the ui-cloud, but it also works with the Unifi CloudKey Gen1, Gen2, as well as with the Unifi DreamMachines (UDM and UDM Pro). Or of course with a locally installed Unifi Controller, which is available for various operating systems.
You can make an online account or offline account, offline does not need a cloud.
If you want remote you just then VPN to your network and give a direct ip to your cloud box and its then accessible outside your location.
