Question about Synology Ds918+

Unfortunately, the CPU of my NAS 415+ is now also defective. I won't even talk about the warranty :-( Now I want to replace it with a 918+. Can I "simply" insert the undamaged HDs in the appropriate order? Is there a risk that they will be overwritten the first time they are inserted? If so, how do I secure the data on the HDs?

I have just "moved" my disks from a DS418 to a DS918+.
When accessing it, I was informed that it had found the configuration of a DS418 and whether I wanted to migrate it. It did everything beautifully (and I just randomly reinserted the disks). Everything runs fine, just had to repair some packages and even reinstall one (Plex).
As I said, I didn't lose any configurations or data. I think Synology has an exact forum article on this, ask the consultant on the Synology website in the chat, he will certainly refer you to it.

Hey that should work, I think the Nas has to check the disks etc. but it should run I think.
