We will soon have a 1Gbit fibre connection. Can the router handle this? Or does our provider have to throttle the bandwidth?

Hi, I don't have a fibre connection myself, but the router should be able to handle it. The connections 5 x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 x WAN & 4 x LAN) are available, and Wifi should bring more than 1GBs (in theory anyway). The test values of 1733Mbps in Wifi 5GHz will hardly be reached.

Why should the provider throttle this, except for cost reasons? If, for example, a download server provides you with 100mb/s (which would be pretty great), then you download at 100mb/s, regardless of whether you have 1gb/s with fibre. I, for example, never go over on Steam.

When the new connection is there, you can reset the router, then the device should provide the settings that would be optimal for your connection. Or maybe you can do something in the menu. Sorry, I have not yet fully dealt with DUMAOS.

Don't take it negatively or personally, just want to make things clear. If there is something wrong with my statement, please feel free to correct me.

Cheers
