Will this router boost my wifi signal? My UPC router is upstairs and I was wondering if the wifi quality will be improved on the ground floor and upstairs? Will the wired connection to my computer change if I connect it directly to this router (a bit more powerful?) or will it be the same?

This router has much better wifi coverage. What I would recommend: disable the UPC wifi. Cable the Asus to the UPC modem and use the Asus WiFi
