The 40 resin complies with EU Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS) and EU Regulation 1907/2007/EC (REACH). 3M Scotchcast Electrical Resin 40 has been developed for electrical insulation and mechanical protection of electrical cable connections. Resin 40 is a non-filled two-component polyurethane that cures at room temperature. Once cured, the resin is impact-resistant and durable against moisture and atmospheric corrosion. Scotchcast 40 is classified as a water-curing low-voltage insulation according to the Cenelec standard HD 631.1 S2.
