The photographer Serge Fruehauf, born in 1969 and trained at the École d'arts appliqués de Vevey, lives and works in Geneva. Building and construction are central themes of his work. His approach aims to highlight the latent potentials of architecture, which is often perceived as banal, through significant details. His recent work, Batirama, is a current, subjective panorama of building culture in the canton of Neuchâtel. It was created as part of the photographic investigation of Neuchâtel. Launched in 2013 by the city library of La Chaux-de-Fonds, it establishes a photographic heritage for the future of the canton of Neuchâtel through commissions awarded every two years to selected artists.
