Flow pumps play an important role in aquariums, especially in saltwater aquariums, as corals and some fish cannot do without a natural flow.

Flow pumps have the task of simulating this natural flow in the aquarium.
Flow pumps are often installed in the opposite direction in order to create a "diffuse flow".

The currents generated by the aquarium pump mean that unwanted sediments are only deposited on the bottom of the aquarium to a limited extent.

The outlet nozzle with a size of 19 mm can be swivelled 45° to the left and right and can therefore be optimally positioned in the aquarium.

Fresh air can also be supplied to the aquarium water via a hose attached to the outlet nozzle.

The pump output is 1600 l/h and can be used in aquariums with a water volume of 140 to 180 litres.
The wear-free ceramic shaft guarantees a long service life for the aquarium pump.

The integrated aquarium filter has 2 filter stages, which can be easily replaced or installed individually.

Filter sponges
Both filter stages each contain a filter sponge, which provides a large colonisation area for beneficial bacteria.
The filter sponges also prevent suspended particles from entering the pump body of the aquarium pump.
By using filter sponges, the nitrate content in the aquarium is reduced and the aquarium water is cleaned of chemical impurities.

When purchasing a new aquarium filter or after a complete cleaning, the beneficial bacteria must first be enriched again.
Special bacterial cultures are available for this purpose, which can be added to the aquarium filter to make the start easier.
