In the beginning, I tried various honing systems because they are sooo easy to use, until I realised that they tended to break my knives. For several years now, I have been sharpening my knives every two months with Japanese whetstones with the best results. New knives even get better at gliding the blade with each sharpening due to the polishing. For chisels, plane blades and carving irons, I use the Tormek wet grinding system, where the carving irons are intensively re-polished. There are no simple solutions for sharpening cutting blades if you want the best results.

I have been using a flexible chopping board from Wüsthof for many years. It's great to clean in the dishwasher, doesn't rust, hardly absorbs any odours and "heals" itself to some extent. Unfortunately, I can't find any of these, in my opinion, very good chopping boards at Galaxus. They can be ordered directly from Wüsthof in Germany. Or at Globus, but unfortunately at the Globus price ... My wish therefore: Please bring Wüsthof as an extension of the range. Thank you.

I wish to find a soft wood cutting board because bamboo or acacia is a bit too hard for my poor knives. I think we cannot filter by type of wood ; what are the best softer wood cutting board out there ?
