Can it pick up and vacuum at the same time?

No, the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra cannot vacuum and mop at the same time. The device has a function that allows the cleaning brushes and the mopping unit to be operated separately, but not simultaneously.

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra automatically recognises carpets and ensures that they stay dry. Here are the relevant details: - The robot has automatic carpet detection, which increases cleaning power on carpets while ensuring that carpets don't get wet. - The VibraRise 2.0 mopping system and the DuoRoller Riser brush work together to raise the brushes and mopping modules when the robot moves over carpets to prevent water and dirt from getting onto the carpets.

Like all appliances, maintenance is very important. I think you could be refused a warranty repair if you don't follow the manufacturer's maintenance recommendations. The advantage of this product is that it's linked to an app on your smartphone that tells you when to carry out a specific cleaning (sensors, rollers, side brush, filters, etc.) and when to change worn parts. If you comply with all this, I don't see why the warranty should be refused. I've had this product for a few months now, and I'm very satisfied with it, using it almost daily.

The Roborock came with everything needed for a smooth start-up. Accessories only need to be run later. We have had the vacuum cleaner for about 3 months and are very happy with it

The limiting factor is probably 1. the battery capacity and 2. the water tanks in wipe mode. However, it can recharge and continue where it left off, but that takes a relatively long time. Our flat is just under 150m2, (minus furniture) 2/3 of which is slab flooring which I always have mopped as well. It takes 100 minutes and the battery charge is still over 40%. Does that help?

The vacuuming is done either manually by pressing a button in the app, or automatically. However, you can set a daily period (Do Not Disturb Mode) where the robot behaves more "calmly" and then does not vacuum automatically.
