I have been using the MDK21 to dry laundry for two years, it also has a hose connection and I am very happy with it. I also have the SW-38FM in the cellar and there is nothing wrong with this appliance either. I'm very happy with the brand. Pay attention to the m2 figure and it's better to go one size up.

Yes, you can use the dehumidifier to dry the laundry in your home more quickly. It removes moisture from the air, which dries the laundry more efficiently and reduces the risk of mould growth. It is important that the room is as small and warm as possible, as warm air can absorb more moisture, and that the appliance's water tank is emptied before drying. A powerful dehumidifier with a dehumidification capacity of 10 litres/24h is well suited to reducing the humidity in a room up to around 40 m² and thus speeding up the drying process. In addition, a fan can help to dry the laundry even faster by improving air circulation. Please note, however, that a dehumidifier does not completely replace a tumble dryer, but can significantly reduce the drying time.

The dehumidifier must be switched on manually. There is no automatic function that switches it on as soon as it is plugged into the socket.

Hello, you can connect an external condensate hose to the appliance if you wish. By default, however, the condensate flows into the 2-litre condensation water tank. LG Manuel Rupp Have fun dehumidifying with Wood's - The market leader in the dehumidifier category (GFK data 09.2022-10.2024)

There is no timer. Simply select one of the desired humidity thresholds and the appliance will operate automatically. (It is also possible to run it continuously). Il n'y a pas de minuterie. Il suffit de sélectionner l'un des seuils d'humidité désiré et l'appareil fonctionne automatiquement. (It is also possible to run it continuously

Hello chrismisc, thank you for your valued question. There was a slightly increased failure rate of the displays in the August 2024 delivery. Just under 3% of the devices in the 08.2024 design (has already been revised) were affected. 3% is a very low failure rate and is well below the industry average. The MDK11 has been available in the new design since 15/09/2024 and impresses with its quality and efficiency. So if you buy a new MDK11 or have it replaced, you will already receive the latest version. I operate my MDK11 on a smart socket from Philips Hue. It works perfectly. When I "give power", the dryer simply continues where it was. All settings are retained. The same after a power cut.

Hello Philip, correct, the air flowing out of the dehumidifier has approx. 1°C more temperature than the room air drawn in. It is physically impossible to remove the moisture from the room air without producing some heat. In the vast majority of cases, however, this is not noticeable because the heating is so small. The 200 watts are divided into heat AND cold. Therefore, only a very small difference remains as heat. Yes, slightly. But all in all, the air is drier and although the dryer adds 1 or 2 degrees, it's more comfortable. What I particularly like is that it doesn't need any maintenance (e.g. constant filter cleaning)

Water from a dehumidifier is not necessarily distilled, but it is usually fairly pure. A dehumidifier removes moisture from the air, which means that the water it collects is generally free of impurities such as minerals and other residues. However, it could still contain traces of impurities depending on how the dehumidifier works and how clean the air in the environment is.
