Product details
The Rotor VEGAST crankset for road bikes was developed alongside the Rotor ALDHU and shares its innovative and modular design. While the ALDHU is extremely focused on minimizing weight, the VEGAST excels with an excellent price-performance ratio and offers all the features of its counterpart. Assembly can be completed in minutes without specialized knowledge or tools, and changing the chainrings is just as easy. Thanks to the Direct Mount system, where the rings are mounted directly onto the spindle without a spider, a standard hex key is all that is needed as a tool. Available options include the revolutionary combo chainring in a one-piece design (a chainring combination machined from a single block) and single chainrings, both in round shape or with Rotor's oval Q Rings featuring 12.5% ovality. Alternatively, a Direct Mount spider can be used, allowing for the traditional mounting of two chainrings with chainring bolts, further expanding the options. The Direct Mount system of the Rotor VEGAST allows for fine adjustment of oval chainrings (OCP) in one-degree increments, providing unparalleled customization to meet personal preferences. This enables the rider to achieve the best possible approach to their optimal individual pedaling efficiency. The crank arms of the VEGAST, made from the particularly stiff 7055 aluminum alloy, are further processed with ROTOR's patented Trinity Drilling System and are hollow-drilled, offering an ideal stiffness-to-weight ratio. The Rotor VEGAST is perfect for road cyclists seeking a high-quality and lightweight crankset without complications, requiring minimal maintenance and assembly effort, and with the potential to improve pedaling efficiency. The VEGAST is naturally compatible with other road bike groups from Shimano, SRAM, or Campagnolo and offers future-proof technology thanks to Direct Mount.
