Instant Release
The Instant Release shifting mechanism replaces the two-step click and release process. 2-Way Release
The release lever of a Rapidfire Plus shifter is often referred to as a trigger because it is pulled towards the grip like a gun's trigger. The release lever of the Rapidfire Plus shifters from Shimano Alivio to XTR can be operated in the same way. Additionally, it can also be shifted using thumb pressure if desired.
