The helmet series Daytona, D2, and D3 from TLD have redefined the connection between technology, safety, and artistic design. The new Troy Lee Designs D4 changes the game once again. The use of TeXtreme® Spread Tow carbon fiber reinforcements in the shell of the new TLD D4 Carbon helmet has helped reduce the weight of the full-face helmet by nearly 50 grams without sacrificing strength. Despite the weight reduction, we were able to strategically add EPS to enhance strength and durability. An integrated MIPS brain protection system reduces the rotational motion transferred to the brain from oblique impacts to the head. The package of the new TLD D4 is rounded off with lightweight titanium D-rings, a clavicle suspension system, and XT2 3D cheek pads with quick-release and washable X-Static liner.
