The three handles allow for holding two canisters or for holding two canisters with one hand, or for passing the canisters to another person without having to move your hands – in a "bucket brigade" style. Increased strength is provided by band-welded handles and additional weld seams. A small air pocket at the top of the canister ensures that it floats even when full. The sides of the canister are marked with cross-shaped indentations that reinforce the canister's construction. Made from steel in a rectangular shape, it is easy and efficient to store, either individually or stacked. The UN marking certifies compliance with regulations for the transport of hazardous goods by road, sea, air, and rail. The exterior of the canister is powder-coated with a special military color (Army Green RAL6031) that absorbs infrared light. The canister is made of 0.9 mm hot-dip galvanized aluminum-silicon (AS) coated steel, providing additional corrosion protection. The interior of the canister is lined with gasoline-resistant paint to prevent rust formation. The wide opening allows for fast and even pouring (20L canister - 25 seconds).
