Abrasion-proof size markings, placed outside the clamping area, ensure permanently good legibility (from Ø 5.0 mm). The extreme 2" center point enables precise spot drilling without running, while specially ground shoulder cutting edges mill exact, circular holes with clean edges (from Ø 4.8 mm). There is up to 50% increased breaking stability. The constantly increasing core diameter in the shaft direction provides maximum breaking stability in freehand use (from Ø 4.8 mm). The drill creates circular holes with clean, virtually burr-free edges. An anti-slip shank with three milled clamping surfaces prevents the drill bit from spinning in the chuck (from Ø 5.0 mm). The iron oxide alloy effectively protects against overheating.
The extreme DEWALT 2 center point allows for precise spot drilling without running, and it starts immediately upon setting, eliminating the need for center punching. This product is ideal for freehand drilling in thin-walled materials.
Application examples include use in alloyed and unalloyed steels up to 900 N/mm² tensile strength, drilling sheet metal and thin-walled profile materials (as well as pipes without pre-coring) where precise and clean holes are required, and it is also very suitable for drilling wood and plastics.
