The stand can withstand small gusts of wind without additional weighting, but we recommend weighting it for greater safety. We use thicker struts, which are twice as expensive but significantly increase the durability of your umbrella. It is advisable to set up the umbrella in a wind-protected area and to retract it during light gusts. Our stand is sufficient for wind force 3. It is beneficial to fill the stand with water and sand. For higher demands, we also offer other umbrella stands with greater weights. A general guideline for better stability is: Umbrella up to 2 m: approximately 20 kg, Umbrella up to 3 m: approximately 40-50 kg, Umbrella up to 4 m: approximately 80-100 kg, Umbrella up to 5 m: approximately 125-150 kg. Calculations such as 1 kg per 10 cm diameter are not accurate, as they do not consider the increased canopy area.
