• Application recommendation: Increasing the cutting speed results in a slightly finer surface. Increasing the contact pressure will make the surface slightly coarser. The softer the material being processed, the coarser the surface. An increase in removal performance should be achieved through a coarser grit rather than increasing the contact pressure to prevent unnecessary tool wear and thermal stress on the workpiece. Reducing the contact pressure and peripheral speed, as well as adding grinding oil, reduces tool wear and thermal stress on the workpiece. Use suitable grinding oil for the material to significantly increase the tool's service life and grinding performance. For best performance, use at a recommended cutting speed of 15–20 m/s. This achieves an ideal compromise between removal performance, surface quality, thermal stress on the workpiece, and tool wear.
