To meet the specific demands of working with stainless steel (INOX), PFERD uses wire quality 1.4310 (V2A) for all INOX brushes. Practical experience from industrial environments confirms that they exhibit very good corrosion resistance with optimal service life. All PFERD brushes with INOX bristles are marked in blue and are suitable for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as V4A. Wire quality 1.4310 tends to exhibit ferromagnetic behavior due to cold hardening, meaning it is attracted to magnets. This is caused by a microstructural change that occurs during deformation, such as during wire drawing. However, this does not affect the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX bristles, which retain their corrosion-resistant properties. Stainless steel wire (INOX) can withstand temperatures up to 450 °C.
