Product details

The Camellia Japonica, also known as the Japanese Rose, is a must-have for any garden. This plant originates from China, Japan, and Vietnam, where it grows high in the mountains. Camellia Japonica 'Lady Campbell' blooms as early as the end of winter, between February and April, making it the perfect plant for the start of spring. Its flower buds form in winter and slowly open as spring approaches. Camellia Lady Campbell is a stunning red, double-flowering camellia that blooms profusely. The rose-shaped flowers have a diameter of about 7-10 cm. This particular camellia has an enormous bud formation that guarantees a burst of color in the pre-spring garden. Even in winter, the camellia brings color to the garden, as it retains its leaves year-round. This makes it one of the best bloomers for the northern European climate. The plant is delivered with a height of 50-60 cm (measured with pot).

Care
This camellia has a compact and upright growth habit and prefers shade or partial shade in slightly acidic, well-drained, preferably humus-rich soil. In summer, it's important to keep the soil around the plant well-moistened. Over time, the plant will grow into a large shrub, but multiple plants can also be combined to form a large shrub. Additionally, the camellia does not grow very quickly, typically about 15-20 cm per year. Therefore, it is not necessary to regularly prune the plant, especially at the beginning. However, it is important to remove faded branches and spent flowers.
