The PROXXON fine milling cutter set is made from selected tungsten-vanadium steel quality. It features a practical, stable construction. The shank and milling part are made from a single piece. The precisely ground teeth and high run-out accuracy provide elasticity at the same time. The set is suitable for processing soft and hard woods, non-ferrous metals, precious metals, as well as plastics and gypsum. It is optimal for shaping, profiling, and grooving. The optimal cutting speeds depend on the diameter of the respective cutter and the material being processed. The larger the cutter, the lower the speed must be. For the material being processed: soft materials require a high speed, while hard materials require a low speed. An exception is plastics. For clean and powerful clamping of the cutters, the use of MICROMOT steel collets is recommended.
