The step drill with specially developed FLOWSTEP® technology allows for a seamless transition between different diameters. Each individual step features a specially designed back taper that guides the step drill smoothly and precisely to the next step after drilling through each stage. This results in a noticeably easier and quieter drilling process. The deep-ground and spiral flutes provide absolute smooth operation and high cutting performance. In particular, non-breaking chips are transported away cleanly, just like with a spiral drill. This reduces the formation of built-up edges and cold welds on the cutting edges. The cone shape facilitates retraction when drilling through sheets.
