In the Alps, farmers drive the cows to the alpine meadows in the summer. There, lush grass grows. The animals wear large bells that can be heard from afar. In late summer, the cows are brought down from the mountains and return to the valley. Cows are herd animals. During the day, cows eat more than 50 kg of grass and can drink up to 180 liters of water.
