Which game are you looking forward to the most?

Talking guns, mutated cats and a well-known sorcerer in a Tinder adventure game: February promises plenty of variety.
With «Xcom 2», «Firewatch» and «Superhot», three breakers are celebrating their tenth anniversary. This coming February also has the potential to create some lasting memories.
If you can't wait until the launch of «Ace Combat 8», climb into the Cockpit of «Aces of Thunder». Based on the free-to-play multiplayer game «War Thunder», this game also focuses on vehicles from the First and Second World Wars. The only downside: the game is only available in VR.

From the studio behind «Battle Brothers» comes the next tricky tactical game. The fantasy world gives way to a sci-fi setting with combat against aliens on a futuristic battlefield. You command foot soldiers, tanks and giant mechs in turn-based battles.

«Player Unknown's Battleground», or «PUBG» for short, is becoming a franchise. The first instalment remains true to the multiplayer principle, but switches to an isometric perspective. Two teams of five people face each other in tactical battles. This is reminiscent of «Rainbow Six Siege» - only from the air.

The remake of the 2000 Playstation JRPG looks beautiful. Not only are the graphics new, but the gameplay and story elements have also been reworked. This should make the epic saga play in keeping with the times.

In the third instalment of the dark samurai action RPG series, you face new, monstrous bosses. Massive and bloody battles await you. The dual combat system is a promising addition. You switch smoothly between the traditional, technical samurai stance and the more agile ninja stance.

Edmund McMillen («The Binding of Isaac», «Super Meat Boy») is working on the next unusual game. You breed an army of cats and send them into turn-based battles. The roguelike game principle lets you keep improving your creations.

If the new «Resident Evil» doesn't offer you enough action or you can't get enough of horror, book a trip to Hispania. In this gruesome version of Spain, you use your own blood as a weapon and shoot scary creatures.

Museums around the world are full of looted African artefacts generously amassed by colonial powers. In «Relooted» you don't wait for someone to voluntarily return the artefacts to their place of origin, but use the five-finger discount. Plan your break-in, recruit a crew and escape with your loot, which consists of 70 real artefacts.

After 16 years, Kazuma Kiryu takes you back to Japan's holiday island of Okinawa. The remake reworks all aspects of the game. There is also a separate game, «Dark Ties», in which you control Yoshitaka Mine, another character from «Yakuza 3».

38 characters from the Nintendo universe and 30 different tennis rackets promise plenty of variety. Like its predecessor «Mario Tennis Aces», the fun sports game supports motion control.

The expansion for this wonderful adventure game delivers a completely new underground world. It more than doubles the size of the game. The game consists of simple puzzles, platform passages and some action. My children love the main game, so the DLC is at the top of my wish list.

A co-operative adventure game in which you control a brother and sister through a spooky monster world. The creators of «Little Nightmares 1 and 2» are behind «Reanimal», which explains the obvious parallels.

For fans of the crazy sci-fi animation series «Rick & Morty», a game that is at least as crazy is coming soon. As in its predecessor, you shoot your way through a colourful and super weird universe with the help of talking weapons.

In Viking-era Norway, you turn your warehouse into a thriving fortress. Along the way, you forge alliances or throw yourself into turn-based battles. You'll need tactical skill. Utilise terrain advantages and deploy the right warriors, who can be individually trained.

Here you decide which adventures the crew of the U.S.S. Voyager will experience. You can make numerous decisions and tempt fate. Research, expand your spaceship, fight all kinds of threats and keep your crew happy. Not just worth a look for fans of the sci-fi series.

The green goblin is sneaking again. As Styx, you try to get your hands on the most valuable and dangerous resource in the world, which humans, orcs and elves are fighting over. The game promises plenty of creative freedom.

The sixth instalment in the Tinder-like adventure game series is «The Witcher». As Geralt of Riva, you swipe left or right to decide which paths the white-haired witcher will take. Will you chase after a monster or the pretty barmaid?

The only exclusive game ever released for the PC Engine. The iconic console was only successful in Japan. Accordingly, few games made the leap to us. «City Hunter» was released on 2 March 1990 and the new edition offers numerous improvements, not least additional languages for anyone who doesn't speak Japanese.

The survival horror series sends you back to Raccoon City. The government tried to contain the zombie outbreak of 1998 by dropping missiles. As an FBI agent, you head to the devastated city in search of answers to the mysterious death of your mother. An old acquaintance provides the action: Leon S. Kennedy. He prefers to let his guns do the talking rather than cower away from monsters. Colleague Domi has already played it and is as excited as black pudding.

As a child, I wasn't allowed to have any consoles. It was only with the arrival of the family's 486 PC that the magical world of gaming opened up to me. Today, I'm overcompensating accordingly.
