This detail makes every jacket look stylish
Jackets and coats with high collars are probably the easiest - and most practical - way to be well dressed this autumn and winter. Here are nine to choose from.
Stand-up collars are so stylish that I was recently tempted to buy a jacket that I didn't actually like at all. It wasn't until I got home that I realised I'd been dazzled by the pretty funnel collar with press studs. So it had to go back to the shop. I don't regret the jacket, but I do regret the collar.
Brands such as Saint Laurent, Chloé and Khaite have put their foot down: Whether it's a trench coat, leather jacket or woollen coat - the jacket collars of the moment should stand like a charm. Of course, you don't have to and shouldn't follow every trend. But this one is definitely worth it in my opinion.

Stylish and practical at the same time
Funnel necks on jackets and coats have a similar effect to turtlenecks on jumpers. They make the garment look stylish and smart. Also important - because fashion is at its best when it reliably fulfils its function: Outerwear with a high collar keeps you wonderfully warm, without the need for a scarf. Especially in winter, when we're already layering up countless layers anyway, we're grateful for every item we don't have to squeeze into.

Stand-up collars are available in many different versions. Some are particularly striking, others rise only slightly. Some can be closed discreetly with a zip, while others feature decorative buttons. Some jackets and coats have a regular Kent collar that can be folded up and fastened with a tab. The trend is therefore likely to appeal to a wide range of tastes. As a little foretaste, here are my nine favourites from the Galaxus range for you.
