Yesterday I had a failure of the Windows 11 components on my DELL system. The system requires a Bitlocker key, which I don't have as it was installed by Digitec. What do I do now?

I once read in the description of a processor on Digitec 'Architecture: 32bit'...are 32bit processors still produced (let alone sold...) ?

The new gaming king of the 9800X3D will be presented on 7.11.24. Will the CPU be available at Digitec on the same day or later? I strongly suspect that this bestseller will be added to the range. My X870E mainboard is just waiting to be fed with it...

I have a 9 year old PC from Digitec X2000 that runs very reliably but is not Windows 11 compatible. It has an Intel Core i7-6700K processor, a mainboard model Z170K, mainboard form factor ATX, 32 GB RAM DDR4-RAM 2133MHz and a graphics card GeForce GTX 970. The PC is now used for everyday use and not for gaming or image editing etc. How can I make it Windows 11 compatible? How can I make the PC suitable for Windows 11, possibly with a new mainboard and new processor?

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive Windows 11-capable processor with an LGA 1151 socket? I am slightly overwhelmed in my search for one.

Hello to the community, I want to build myself a new PC so that I can play video games in 2K resolution, while still being able to use it for work. I work on Linux, with virtualised environments, a bit of software compilation, and for the rest, I mainly use the console and do research on the web. So I'm looking for a 'hybrid' configuration that can meet both my leisure and work needs. I also want this PC to last me several years, as I generally change machines every 8 to 10 years. Do you have any suggestions or comments on this configuration? https://www.digitec.ch/fr... Thanks a lot!

1) Price listing Digitec lists JACOB first, although it is twice as expensive. I assume this is because of the delivery time, but nothing is in stock there either. List all prices, or the cheapest, or just yours. Who in this world voluntarily lists the most expensive price in their shop? In your filter system, only the most expensive price is listed instead of the cheapest. This destroys the whole filter system principle. The customer is thus shown the absolutely worst offer, and the actually "correct/fair" one is downright concealed and hidden. The problem here is not Jacob but Digitec. 2) Hardware that is shipped without padding. - Fist-sized holes on the side where products fall out and the postman hands you the product without a box. - Crushed products because cardboard is soft and air offers no protection when another package is lying on top of it. - Defective products because flying around on the side was just too much of a good thing. - Bent products, because the packaging system pulls several products tight with a plastic band. - QR code stuck directly on the product, always great when the packaging belongs to a collector's item. 3) Damaged product packaging is not recognised as important by Digitec. When you ask for support, all you get to hear is. "Have you tested the product?" But then you pay cash for an opened product. 4) Arbitrary delivery times. Obviously, these are not based on information from the suppliers, but on an automated system that not only knows sadism, but lives it. Even products that have been ordered in stock can be kept in stock for 2-3 months. 5) Incomplete article details and wrong information at every corner, you can safely delete the comparison tool, it is 100% unusable. Have you ever compared something and 19 out of 20 details don't match, are duplicated, missing? That's just the icing on the cake, because if you then compare the data with the manufacturer's number, they are also completely wrong. You can't trust Digitec anymore when it comes to product details. 6) Support that has forgotten what hardware is. Stupid answers pile up on product-specific questions. Not only do they miss the point, but they also don't make sense in themselves. It's sad when you as a customer have to help the customer because the salesperson doesn't know what he's actually selling. Honestly, it's better not to say anything. I assume this has something to do with the fact that so many new people have been hired, but that is pure speculation. 7) Community representatives who answer nicely and nod to the customer and say yes, yes. But where is the action? Your platform is great, but the company's policy is increasingly weakening. We want to see action, and we want it the day before yesterday. ~~~~~~ Opinion based on many years of personal experience. I used to like Digitec too.

Hello, Anyone knows when desktop CPUs from the new Ryzen 9000 series will be available? Google says "July 2024" but do we know if it is going to be the end of July or the beginning of July? I'd like to make purchases before August 1st... Tx

hello everyone, I have been looking at various components for a month because I feel it is time to upgrade my pc which is now 6-7 years old. I currently have an i7 7700K (LGA 1151). 16gb of DDR4 ram m2 samsung 980pro my problem is that I can't make up my mind. I read that in a few months AMD's new series should be coming. On the other hand, I taking Intel's new CPU would make a huge upgrade over the current setup. What would you guys recommend? Do I wait for the new AMD series? Currently it is a wish to upgrade not really an urgent need, but I don't want to put it off for too long either, I would like a new pc here... Thanks for the advice

Hey, once again I can't make up my mind. At the moment I have an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X processor and would like to upgrade again, but I keep going back and forth on whether I should switch back to Intel and go for the Intel Core i9-13900K or 14900K, which would probably be better for rendering and other applications with the 24 cores, but it gets very hot and draws a lot of watts.r gets very hot, draws a lot of watts and is the last CPU for the socket, so I would have to replace the whole setup again if I upgrade, or would I rather go for the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, where the socket is supposed to remain in place for newer CPUs until 2026, so upgrading would be easy, but it has fewer cores and doesn't always utilise its full potential. What would the experts recommend?

Degree bought for rebuilding a desktop: - Mainboard: Gigabyte B550M (Socket AM4, Chipset AMD B550) - CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5400 On the box of the CPU it says "4000 Series Processor". The manual of the mainboard only mentions "4000 G Series" CPUs, which are supported. Is this CPU compatible with this mainboard?

Why does AMD offer the Epyc processors in addition to the Ryzen Threadripper? Their performance is roughly comparable, but they need different socket types, especially since the Epyc mainboards are quite sparsely equipped compared to the Threadripper mainboards...?

There are currently several reports of defective 7800x3Ds on the net, but other 7000 processors may also be affected. Allegedly, the processors are not overclocked but have loaded the EXPO profile. https://www.youtube.com/watch https://www.youtube.com/watch Asus has now released new beta bioses, where the voltage is limited to 1.3V. https://rog.asus.com/ch-de... Has anyone installed the corresponding G.SKILL RAM bars (EXPO with 1.4V) and seen how the performance behaves after such an update? Do the timings still run stably afterwards or do you have to reduce the timings manually?
1
I find that adding a score from a benchmark such as https://www.cpubenchmark.net/ would be a useful addition to help refine one's choice.
2
I think you could refer to mainboards based on the socket, or am I mistaken?

With hundreds of these processors in stock, plus lots of 7950X3D processors ? I must buy! Please take my money.

AMD is currently offering a Star Wars bundle for certain AM5 processors (Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 9 7900,Ryzen 7 7700X,Ryzen 7 7700,Ryzen 5 7600X, Ryzen 5 7600). Is Digitec also taking part in this? https://www.amd.com/en...

I'm currently building a new PC, so the 7950X3D is just what I need. Higher performance and a 50 Watt(!) lower TDP compared to the 7950X are already an incentive to buy... AMD quotes a price of $699 for the 7950X3D, the same as its predecessor at release. How does it look digitec?
